There You Are. Welcome! I’m truly so happy you’re here. Can I share a little of my story with you? Because I think we may have some things in common.
For much of my life, I carried an emotional weight I didn't know how to name.
I grew up in a family where the physical needs were met, but my emotional needs quietly went unanswered. I didn't feel seen, nurtured, loved, or truly known. This lack created a kind of hunger that sent me, as a young girl, searching in all the wrong places. I looked for love and meaning in unhealthy relationships, in the dark world of substance abuse, and in a culture that promised happiness but never delivered it. I didn’t know how to set boundaries, had no real sense of my own worth, and no idea that I was allowed to say no.
I also struggled in school. Learning didn't come easily for me, and comparing myself to classmates who seemed to breeze through only deepened the quiet belief that something was wrong with me. My earliest childhood report cards confirm that I was in the lower levels of reading, writing, and arithmetic. I felt so dumb and behind, and carried those beliefs into every unhealthy decision I made.
But something began to shift.
There came a point when I couldn't keep living the way I was living. I walked away from the substances and the chaos. And at the age of thirty, I walked into a college classroom. I was so far behind that my first classes didn't even count toward a degree s, but I sat in those remedial classrooms anyway. Course after course, I put in long hours and finished with straight A's. Every single credit was proof to my heart that I really could change my life. It gave me the drive I needed to stay at it. And, slowly, I began to see myself differently. I was walking out of the darkness into a place where dreaming became possible.
My transformation didn't happen by willpower alone. My unwavering faith anchored me and became the steady ground I had never had before, making my healing possible.
What I bring to this space
I am a published devotional author. This mode of writing refined my voice and taught me how to communicate truth with clarity, care, and purpose. I have also had the privilege of speaking at women's spiritual retreat weekends, where I learned how to approach other wounded hearts with tenderness, and where my longing to see women step into the life they were created for was deeply shaped.
I am also a former homeschooling mom and co-op tutor who created two original curricula, one focused on life skills, mindful thinking, and resilience, and the other, a hands-on anatomy course.
Those years taught me that real transformation happens when truth becomes practical and personal.
Today, I walk alongside children and adults with difficult histories, offering steady support and practical tools for truth-based thinking, restored worth, healthy boundaries, emotional resilience, and the quiet courage to take the next step.
But underneath all of it, my heart keeps returning to the same place it always has: hurting women who are tired of pretending to be fine.
I created this blog for the woman who looks like she's managing but feels like she's drowning. The woman who has carried shame, self-doubt, self-hatred, and old wounds for so long she's forgotten who she is and what it feels like to be free. The woman who suspects there might be more for her, but is afraid to try, and doesn't quite believe she deserves it.
I know what it's like to need someone to come alongside you and gently guide you out of the pit. And I want to be that for you, starting with the words that I needed to hear:
You are not broken. You are not behind. You are not too far gone.
You have immeasurable worth. And there is hope ahead.
I write not as someone who has it all figured out. Believe me! No, I write as a friend who has sat in the same exhausted spot and who believes with everything in her that your story is not finished.
If you're new here, I'm so glad you found this place.
You don't have to walk this alone anymore.
